Vaadu Veedu

vaadu veedu(avan Ivan) completely disappointed me.
why did he made it?
jus becoz he is a filmmaker he had to.or
he want to entertain this time so he made a comedy..
its the weakest among his films.
the storyline is predictable from the trailer itself
but whenthe 2nd half begins every scene is predictable.
he made two lovestories and then a revenge story very similar to Pithamagan.there is nothing new. felt there is an edit to the story too--the subplot of 1 crore valued forest things being smuggled..
as the comedy is concerned its puerile, evn there are few laughs they end abruptly.
the screenplay is not strong ,it holds the dumb story together because of bala's direction.he repeated his own thought again -->the climax fight = of naan kadavul and the trademark scene at the end -->A film by Bala
only the thing which raises the film is music and background score by yuvan..he didn't use any western instruments.
also Vishal was acting for the first time i suppose.and the navarasas scene where surya has his guest appearance is an overpitched one,its like an old school thought.Lots of efforts were put by other cast of the film too.
can't bala wait and make some new story out of him and make a film..?

SHaithan

did a journey of 2 hrs to watch Shaitan..
and yes it is a story to be told..
shaitan is a thriller which clinches you and its a new age film.
outstanding abt shaitan is its camerawork and shot composition ,the songs carries the mood greatly together..
dir bijoy Nambiar who co wrote Shaitan packed some surprises--KoyaKoya chand...
But i have concerns
there were few scenes to excite the audience like the inspector mathur kicking the autowala, guest appearance of Rajat Barmecha and few dialogues ..(its jus like a pot boiler ishhtyle)
my other concern is the title and caption which i particulary feel as not fit to the story.shaitan does not have deep insight into the characters which how i counter abt its title
As its produced by Anurag,i have my expectations about it,but Shaitan has different kind of dealing in..
and its not to the mark of Paanch at all.
Paanch is more dark, gritty than shaitan
and i have the question, is it the added flavour needed to make a film engaging?
i will say myself no to it.
and shaitan is as commercial as Ready.
P.S:still want to be in Koya Koya Chand.
